Pakistan had previously struggled in the opening match, falling by an innings and 103 runs.
In a major shake-up, seven players have been released from the national setup: Mohammad Rizwan, Imam-ul-Haq, Salman Ali Agha, Ali Usman, Aamir Jamal, Muhammad Awais Zafar, and Khurram Shahzad. The board also parted ways with coaches Sarfaraz Ahmed and Umar Gul, appointing Mike Hesson and Ashley Noffke to take over their responsibilities within the backroom team.
To bolster the roster for the final Test in Birmingham, the selectors have introduced seven replacements. This new group includes five players who are yet to make their Test debut, alongside two individuals with prior experience in the format. Saim Ayub and Abdullah Fazal, who have already featured in eight and two Tests respectively, return to the fold to provide stability.
The squad also welcomes Arafat Minhas, a left-arm spin-bowling all-rounder who has previously represented Pakistan in three ODIs and four T20Is.
