- Air India cautioned that weather-related disruptions could impact flights to and from Delhi, urging travelers to verify their status before leaving for the airport. The airline stated, “Adverse weather conditions may impact flight operations to and from Delhi today.”
- Akasa Air reported that severe weather in Delhi had affected certain flights across its network. The airline posted, “Due to severe weather conditions in Delhi, certain flights across our network have been impacted. We realise that this may inconvenience your travel plans and seek your patience and understanding.”
- SpiceJet warned that arrivals, departures, and connecting flights could face delays due to the ongoing weather conditions.
Official Meteorological and Travel Guidance
The India Meteorological Department (IMD) issued alerts for Delhi, forecasting heavy rainfall, lightning, and strong gusty winds across the capital. In response, the Airports Authority of India (AAI) released specific travel guidelines for flyers. The AAI advised on X, “Before you travel, stay informed about local weather conditions at your departure and arrival cities.” Furthermore, the authority urged passengers to “Arrive at the airport well in advance to avoid delays,” noting that heavy rain could significantly affect road traffic and transit times to the airport.
