The National Centre of Meteorology (NCM) reported that light to moderate rainfall occurred on Saturday across several regions, including the Khatm Al Shakla road, parts of Al Ain, Fujairah, Bani Yas, and the suburbs of Abu Dhabi. In response to these weather fluctuations, the Abu Dhabi City Municipality announced on Friday the immediate closure of all public gardens, entertainment parks, and affiliated beaches. Furthermore, all scheduled events have been suspended until further notice to ensure the safety of community members.
Traffic Safety Measures
Abu Dhabi Police have issued an urgent advisory urging motorists to exercise extreme caution while driving in rainy conditions. Drivers are strictly required to adhere to variable speed limits displayed on electronic guidance boards. As a safety precaution, the police have activated a speed reduction system, lowering the limit to 80 km/h on the Bu Krayyah-Umm Az Zumul road in the Al Ain region.
