The United Arab Emirates Ministry of Defence has officially confirmed that two ballistic missiles launched from Iran were detected approaching the country. According to the ministry’s assessment, these projectiles were specifically targeting maritime navigation routes before ultimately falling into the sea.
Providing details on the trajectory of the threats, authorities noted that the first missile landed outside of UAE territorial waters, while the second fell within them. Crucially, the ministry emphasized that both missiles impacted the water, resulting in no damage or consequences on land.
In response to the detected activity, UAE air defence systems were activated to address the incoming threats. Officials reported that these systems successfully intercepted multiple threats, ensuring the safety of the nation’s airspace and territorial integrity during the incident.
Following the event, a mobile emergency alert was issued to residents to provide clarity on the situation. The alert confirmed that the environment is safe and that normal daily activities may resume across the country, effectively de-escalating concerns among the public.
The Ministry of Defence maintained that the UAE remains in a state of high alert. This posture ensures the nation is fully prepared to respond to any future threats that might target its national security, sovereignty, or the safety of maritime navigation within the region.
Moving forward, the government has reiterated its commitment to safeguarding its national interests, assets, and resources. Officials stated that the UAE will continue to firmly counter any attempts to undermine the security and stability of the country or the broader maritime environment.
In light of the situation, the ministry has strongly urged the public to rely exclusively on official government sources for updates. Residents are advised to avoid spreading or consuming rumors and misinformation, as the country continues to monitor regional developments, including ongoing discussions regarding US-Iran relations and the broader impact on Middle Eastern stability.
