Abu Dhabi Restricts 50-Seat Worker Buses at Mafraq Bridge Exit Starting August 17

Starting Monday, August 17, Abu Dhabi Mobility will enforce a new traffic restriction affecting 50-seat worker transport buses. The measure prohibits these vehicles from utilizing the Mafraq Bridge exit E328B, which connects to the E22 Abu Dhabi-Al Ain Road.

The Integrated Transport Centre stated that this regulatory change is designed to improve overall traffic flow and bolster road safety in the area. The announcement was officially shared via the organization’s social media channels on X.

Under the new traffic management plan, drivers and operators of these buses must utilize an alternative route. Specifically, vehicles are required to use the exit at Truck Bridge, which leads to Al Rawdah Street (E30) in the direction of Mafraq Workers City.

Abu Dhabi Mobility has strongly urged all transport operators and bus drivers to strictly adhere to the revised routing instructions once the policy takes effect on August 17. Compliance is expected to help minimize congestion and ensure smoother transit for all commuters.

This initiative is part of a broader effort by Abu Dhabi authorities to optimize transport infrastructure. The city continues to focus on enhancing road safety protocols and streamlining transit efficiency across its major highway networks.

Authorities remain committed to ongoing traffic management improvements, ensuring that all heavy vehicle movements are directed through appropriate channels to maintain public safety and road integrity throughout the emirate.
