Sharjah Government Announces Salary Increases to Support Enhanced Standard of Living

Abdullah Ibrahim Al Zaabi, head of the Sharjah Human Resources Department, announced on the “Direct Line” programme that a salary increase will be implemented for all government employees to align with the enhanced standard of living in the Emirate of Sharjah.

Support for Staff and Retirees

The standard of living has been improved for 3,270 government employees in senior grades, representing an annual cost exceeding Dhs160 million. Furthermore, the government has committed to supporting 1,470 retirees with an annual expenditure of more than Dhs37 million.

General Jobs and Social Welfare

Adjustments extend to the “General Jobs” system, which includes positions in engineering, medical, veterinary, pharmaceutical, and medical technician fields. Additionally, 1,473 beneficiaries from the Social Services Department will receive an increase of Dhs3,375 each.

Salary Increase Breakdown

  • The salary adjustments for the general jobs system apply to all Special Grades (A and B) and Grades 1 through 8.
  • Eligible employees in these categories will receive an increase of Dhs3,375, calculated after insurance deductions.
