Bin Suwaidan said that such actions are not merely traffic violations, but rather reckless behaviour that could end in a tragic accident within a few seconds.
Bin Suwaidan indicated that Dubai Police took the necessary legal measures against the rider, as the motorcycle was impounded, and the provisions of Local Decree No 30 of 2023 regarding vehicle impoundment were applied, which stipulates a fine of up to Dhs50,000 to get it released, in addition to referring the rider to the competent authorities to complete legal proceedings against them.
He explained that losing control of a motorcycle at a speed exceeding 290 km/h leads in many cases to it skidding for long distances, exposing its driver to horrific accidents which may cause death, serious injuries, or permanent disabilities.
Bin Suwaidan added: “Moving between vehicles at this insane speed poses an extreme danger, making a collision difficult to avoid, whether by the rider or the driver of the other vehicle.
