Dubai Healthcare City (DHCC) has officially launched construction on Dubai Creek Gardens, a major residential development valued at Dh3 billion. Located within DHCC Phase 2, the project is set to introduce over 1,400 residential units to the area overlooking the Dubai Creek.
The development is being spearheaded by Global Partners Ltd and spans more than 127,000 square metres. Designed as a low-density community, the project prioritizes wellness, outdoor living, and greenery. Developers have committed to dedicating approximately 70% of the total site area to parks, landscaped gardens, sports facilities, and other open recreational spaces.
The groundbreaking ceremony was attended by key stakeholders, including representatives from the Dubai Healthcare City Authority (DHCA), Global Partners Ltd, Mirage Leisure and Development, OCTA Properties, BAUER Spezialtiefbau GmbH, and Marriott International. The project will feature a mix of residential properties alongside retail and dining outlets. Notably, it will host the UAE’s first Westin and Renaissance branded residences, developed in collaboration with Marriott International.
This initiative aligns with the Dubai 2040 Urban Master Plan and the Dubai Quality of Life Strategy 2033, both of which emphasize sustainable urban growth and the expansion of green, liveable communities. By integrating residential, hospitality, and lifestyle offerings, the project aims to bolster the appeal of DHCC Phase 2 as a comprehensive destination.
Issam Galadari, CEO of the Dubai Healthcare City Authority, noted that the substantial investment reflects strong investor confidence in the growth of DHCC Phase 2. He stated that developments of this caliber contribute to the vision of creating an integrated ecosystem where residents can live, work, and access world-class healthcare and wellness services in one location.
To further support long-term investment in the area, the DHCA has become a founding shareholder of the Global Partners Property Fund II. This fund is specifically designed to facilitate investments that contribute to the ongoing development of the healthcare city.
The project is arriving at a time of significant population growth for Dubai, which is projected to reach 5.8 million residents by 2040. This demographic shift is driving a heightened demand for high-quality residential environments that offer a balanced lifestyle.
Dubai Creek Gardens is currently scheduled for completion in 2030. Upon delivery, it is expected to significantly broaden the range of lifestyle and hospitality options available within the district, solidifying its status as a hub for wellness-focused living.
