This prompted a manual search, during which the hidden gold rods were successfully extracted from the bag’s frame. The passenger, an Asian national, claimed during questioning that the suitcase had been given to her by an individual in her home country to transport, asserting that she was unaware of the illicit cargo hidden inside.
