As part of a strategic initiative to improve road safety, the Traffic and Security Patrols Directorate at Abu Dhabi Police has launched a series of “Back to School” awareness lectures. These sessions are being conducted at various schools throughout the Emirate of Abu Dhabi to help students develop safer habits during their daily travel to and from their educational institutions.
The training sessions emphasize critical safety protocols, such as the mandatory use of seat belts and the importance of remaining seated properly while inside a vehicle. Students are also being instructed on the correct procedures for boarding and exiting school buses, along with warnings against engaging in risky behaviors that could lead to accidents.
Furthermore, the program provides comprehensive guidance on navigating roads safely. This includes teaching students how to use designated pedestrian crossings, the necessity of remaining vigilant toward moving traffic, and identifying potential hazards. By equipping students with these practical skills, the police aim to foster a safer environment for all children using school transportation and public roads.
