A joint task force comprising the Patna Police and the Special Investigation Unit (SIU) of the SSP Cell successfully dismantled an alleged sex racket operating out of the Ganpati Guest House in the Ghurdaur area. The operation, which falls under the jurisdiction of the Rajiv Nagar police station, resulted in the detention of four women and one man on Saturday.
Law enforcement officials had been monitoring the four-story premises for approximately two months prior to the raid. This surveillance was initiated following a series of complaints that had persisted for about six months regarding suspicious behavior at the location. Acting on a specific tip-off that multiple individuals were present in the rooms, officers surrounded the building and conducted a comprehensive search across all four floors.
During the search, police recovered and seized various materials, including contraceptives, which have been sealed as evidence for the ongoing investigation. While five individuals were taken into custody and transported to the Rajiv Nagar police station for questioning, several others managed to evade capture. The guest house owner, along with specific staff members and other male visitors, reportedly escaped through a rear exit as the raid commenced.
Investigators are currently interrogating the detainees to map out the network’s connections and determine the full duration of the illegal operation. Authorities have confirmed that the identities of the absconding owner and staff have been established. Police teams are now conducting follow-up raids at various suspected locations to apprehend those who fled the scene.
