UAE Cybersecurity Council Neutralizes Coordinated Attacks on Aviation, Energy, and Education

The UAE Cybersecurity Council (CSC) confirmed that national digital defense systems have identified and neutralized a series of sophisticated, coordinated cyber attacks. These hostile operations specifically targeted the country’s aviation, energy, and education sectors.

Authorities stated that the threats were addressed proactively, ensuring that intrusion attempts were contained before they could compromise the continuity of vital services or reach the attackers’ intended objectives. The security response was immediate, preventing any significant disruption to national infrastructure.

According to the Council, the attackers utilized a variety of methods, including attempts to breach digital infrastructure, target operational data, and compromise user accounts. The campaign also featured targeted phishing efforts designed to exploit individuals as a gateway into secure environments.

National cybersecurity teams successfully tracked the attack paths and identified key indicators of compromise. By implementing necessary technical countermeasures, the teams were able to neutralize the threats and effectively block their spread across the targeted networks.
