Bangladesh recorded 530 new dengue hospitalizations over the past 24 hours, according to a press release issued Tuesday, August 4, by the Health Emergency Operation Center and Control Room of the Directorate General of Health Services. Fortunately, no deaths were reported during this timeframe.
The new cases are distributed across the country, with 214 patients in the Dhaka division, 81 in Khulna, 73 in Chittagong, 73 in Barisal, 38 in Mymensingh, 26 in Rajshahi, 22 in Rangpur, and 3 in the Sylhet division.
As of August 4, the total number of dengue patients hospitalized this year has reached 17,214, with the death toll standing at 59. Currently, 1,321 patients are receiving treatment in hospitals, while 15,834 individuals have recovered and been discharged. For historical context, the country saw 102,861 total dengue cases and 413 deaths throughout the entirety of 2025.
