A parked truck rolled away and crashed into several vehicles in Abha, Saudi Arabia, on Sunday after it was not properly secured, according to traffic authorities. The General Traffic Department in the Asir Region confirmed that officers responded to the scene after the stationary vehicle began moving on its own.
Authorities attributed the collision to the failure to secure the truck while parked. Despite the impact involving multiple vehicles, officials reported that no injuries occurred during the incident. Responding officers managed traffic flow and completed necessary procedures at the site.
This incident occurs amid a broader regulatory push in the Kingdom. Saudi Arabia has recently intensified efforts to crack down on foreign truck violations and has moved to seize non-compliant vehicles.
The region has seen other recent transport-related incidents, including a separate crash that left 23 students injured. Additionally, Saudi Arabia has officially banned mobile vendors in 9 locations to improve public order.
Meanwhile, Abha airport continues to face flight disruptions, which have impacted UAE routes for a second consecutive day following a previous airport attack. Authorities remain focused on maintaining transport safety and operational stability across the region.
